Metal Sculptures

In 2009 my son bought me a semester of metal-working and forging at the local community college. It was a lot of fun, and I have re-taken it a couple of times since.

Several of the knives and war clubs I have made recently were forged in the college workshop.

The first assignment is always a loose direction to forge “something” from 20’ of steel rod. The Sword Stands and Lily sculpture are the product of that assignment. Just a lot of experimenting with new tools and techniques.
