A presentation-grade pipe tomahawk with a hexagonal bowl and file-worked steel head, patinaed with a rich plum brown finish.
The mouthpiece, grip ring, crenellated cap and removable end plug/cleanout pick are carved and turned from black horn. The haft is turned and fluted from beautifully figured curly maple, with a band of pewter adorning the upper haft, just below the head. The haft is stained with aqua fortis and finished with hand-rubbed tung oil.
The tomahawk measures 24" from mouthpiece to plug, and the head is 7" long.
