Heavy forged steel spike tomahawk. The stout spike and blade are filed and a floral acid-etching decorates each side of the blade. A brass cap with spike is secured to the grip with brass screws. The upper portion of the hickory handle is wrapped in vegetable-tanned leather, wet-molded and stitched with waxed thread, and decorated with brass tacks and a scalplock drop. The handle butt is carved into the likeness of a duck, with brass eyes. This is a serious weapon.
The spike is 4", the blade 3", and the overall length of the head is 9". The hawk is 20" long.
