Forged Eland Head Door Knocker

Sold: $200

A unique and beautiful Eland (African Antelope) Head Door Knocker, hand-forged from a recycled framing hammer. The claws were formed into horns and twisted, the head hammered and filed to shape, and the facial features punched into the heated steel. Forged copper forms the ears, and gem-like ironwood cabochon is set into the original handle eye.

The shield is cut from 1/8” steel plate. The steel pieces are heat-patinaed a dark blue with an oil finish.

The 8’’ x 5’’ plate is provided with 3 mounting holes. The knocker is 7” long.
