Forged Damascus 'Waves' Knife

Sold: $675

A sleek and modern spear-point knife with a beautiful thirty-one layer hand-forged Damascus blade. The blade was forged-welded with 1095 and 15N20 nickle steel, polished to 2000 grit, and etched to bring out the pattern. The blade spine is pattern-filed nearly to the tip. The hidden tang is nearly the length of the grip, for strength.

The guard is comprised of copper and steel, and soldered in place. The beautifully figured stabilized buckeye burl grip is octagonal in shape, and fits the hand nicely. It is securely epoxied in place and fitted with a mosaic pin through grip and tang. The pommel is finished with polished black Micarta.

The sheath is heavy vegetable-tanned leather, wet-molded to hold the blade securely, and hand-stitched, finished dark red.

The blade is 6" long and 1/8" thick, and 1 3/8" wide. Overall length is 11".
