This snake was forged from a round file. The head was upset (hammered axially until it is thicker) and hammered to rough shape. The body was then tapered and coiled. The texture of the body is the rasp's teeth. Features were then carved into the face, and the head was engraved to simulate scales.

The snake is actually 21" long, but is coiled into a footprint of approximately 6" x 3".
