Matched Powder Horn Set

Sold

The scrimshaw-grade powderhorn has a turned and fluted horn spout and plug with an octagon-carved and dyed center section and engrailed edge. The base plug is turned myrtle with a deep oil finish. The base is fastened with eight wood pins and has a screw-type brass filler plug. Horn is colored for a fine aged look. The fringed cotton strap has adjustable leather lace connections. From the tip of spout to base plug, the horn measures 14" along the outside curve. Diameter of the horn base is 2.5".

The smaller priming horn is basically the same as the scrimshaw-grade powderhorn, just appropriately scaled down. From the tip of the spout to base plug, the horn measures 10.5" along the outside curve. Diameter of the horn base is 2".

This is a beautiful powderhorn set for a fine muzzleloader. Sold as a set only. » read customer feedback
