Sterling Owl Menuki Pendant for Sale

Sold: $150

This piece is truly unique, built around a small piece of ironwood with a naturally occurring knothole.

The barn owl was cast in sterling silver, from a hand-made wax carving originally designed for a japanese sword grip ornament (menuki). The owl was inlet into the ironwood behind the knothole. A large sterling silver bail ring was constructed and pinned to the top and back of the pendant. The ironwood was polished and finished with tung oil.

The pendant is 1.25" wide by 1" tall. The silver chain (included) is 16".
