Silver-Mounted Powder Horn (Commissioned)

Commissioned Work

This powder horn was based on a photo provided by the owner.

The horn neck is carved and fluted in a spiral pattern, with inlaid twisted silver wire secured by two silver bands. The body is carved and scrimshawed.

The base plug is carved walnut with a dapped silver band. The spout plug is turned and carved of horn.

The horn is 14" long with a 2.5" diameter base.
